I'm not going to poke around a bush, but rather tell it straight. I need your money. There I said it. I am doing a charity race and they won't let me put on my spandex unless I give them money. I tried to raise $550 over the past few months, but I guess I don't know many affluent people.

I have been fortunate to have friends who like supporting charities and co-workers that are wealthy enough to see five bucks go towards a good cause. Yet, I find myself not reaching the goal.

Today is the 13th and in less than a month I'll be doing a 150 mile race in Texas....hopefully. I am $95 short of raising the needed funds. In my last attempt to still remain in the race, I'm hoping that some generous soul will give me $5 bucks so I can participate.

The race is a benefit for those with multiple sclerosis. The race is set to raise 14 million dollars in order to fund the search for the cure.

In conclusion, I'm asking all of my family, friends, co-workers, and fans if they can spare a Washington or two to help me stay in this race. In return you help fight a disease, take a few bucks off your taxable income, and have a feeling you did something worthwhile for the day.

UPDATE: I am also participating int the MS Georgia Power Savannah Ride 150 in May. This is another charity ride to support those with MS. If you feel like checking it out go here. I'm $250 from reaching the needed donation to ride.

UPDATE 2: Many thanks to ^bleedsopretty for informing others about my riding efforts. Its people like her that make encourage me to raise as much money for this devastating disease.
